I networked and gained new connections with those who attended the conference. They all reached out individually and helped me grow both as a person and deer. Not liking an experience is just as helpful as loving an experience when you are narrowing down what industry you want to build a career in.
Because of the course content at HPU, I knew how to interview well, and the emphasis to use LinkedIn for networking helped me gain more contacts in the business. Without being surrounded by such great people, it would have been more challenging for me to to reach my full potential. Through trustworthy career advising, innovative employer engagement events, and endless professional development opportunities — students have the chance to grow as a professional so they are ready to enter the working world as it is going to be.
At the conference, I listened to and spoke with event management professionals, and I learned new insights for that field. Another piece of advice I would give to underclassmen would be to build relationships with your professors because they offer the best advice and are extremely helpful during internship and job searching. Attending Prime dinners made proper etiquette second nature so that now at professional dinners, I feel comfortable and confident in the situation. In the School of Communication, my event management Professor, Dr. Biaett taught me a lot of practical experience for my career. Making guests feel like part of the experience. Major: Exercise science with a minor in psychology. In an interview, I was told that my undergraduate research gave me more experience than most students get from a masters program. General information about getting married
Nguyen, my research professor, was my most impactful mentor at HPU. Nguyen continually pushed me out of my comfort zone and encouraged me to take on new challenges. It is all about how you react to the failure and turn it into a positive experience. During my recruitment process, I had a meal interview with a of people, including the CEO and the VP of marketing.
